Membership of the forum is for people in ordained and/or full time ministry, including spouses and those who are retired.
In order to maintain an appropriate level of privacy and safety for this site, the site administrator at Sheldon will check your "real world" credentials and then confirm your membership.

Terms of Use

Eligibility
Membership of this forum will be restricted to ordained clergy and ministers (active, retired, stipendary, self-supporting); people active in or retired from full time stipendary lay ministry; people in senior/policy-making positions at regional and national level within the denominations; and spouses and partners of the foregoing.

Authentication
Independent evidence will be sought to authenticate forum applicants. The quickest route will be if applicants can provide a hyperlink to a website which lists them "in role". Otherwise yearbooks or other listings will be checked which may take longer.

Moderation
The forum will be moderated by members of the Society of Mary and Martha Community, Staff and Volunteers.
Sheldon is not liable for the contents of external sites, or for comments, postings and uploaded documents (except our own). 
Our only guarantee is to moderate the forum to the best of our ability and resources.

Aliases
Forum members should decide for themselves how much information they reveal that makes it possible or likely that their identity can be inferred. Each member may register two aliases if you prefer to make some postings anonymously and some under your real name. To register a second alias, please make a second registration as a new user.

All personal data collected for the forum will be held by the Society of Mary and Martha solely for the purpose of the forum.

Unacceptable behaviours
Offensive language.
Personal attacks - critique of role behaviour is acceptable, personal abuse is not.
Forum members who can't play nicely will have their membership suspended.
Offensive postings and users can be reported on the Contact us form.
